Colonels Academy proudly celebrated International Mother Tongue Day on 21st February 2026 with a meaningful and vibrant Special Assembly, highlighting the beauty, diversity, and emotional strength of our native languages.

The programme commenced with a bouquet presentation to the Principal, symbolizing respect and gratitude. The assembly then moved forward with an insightful English speech by Shloka Prakash, who eloquently emphasized the importance of preserving and respecting one’s mother tongue as a foundation of identity, culture, and heritage.

Adding poetic grace to the celebration, Sanskriti recited a heartfelt Hindi poem, beautifully reflecting the emotions, traditions, and cultural richness embedded in our language. The audience was deeply moved by her expressive delivery.

A thoughtful and inspiring Hindi speech by Shivani followed, encouraging students to take pride in their native languages and to promote linguistic diversity in daily life.

The highlight of the assembly was an engaging interactive activity conducted by senior student Abdus, who introduced students to short sentences in different languages such as Spanish and French. Students enthusiastically repeated the phrases, making the session lively and educational, while also reinforcing the idea of global unity through linguistic diversity.

The celebration concluded with a sincere Vote of Thanks by the Principal, who appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in organizing such a meaningful programme and encouraged everyone to cherish and preserve their mother tongue.

The assembly beautifully conveyed the message that language is not just a means of communication, but a powerful expression of identity, tradition, and unity in diversity.
