Foundation Day 2026 | Colonels Academy
Adding a unique creative dimension to the Foundation Day 2026 celebrations, Colonels Academy introduced a hands-on artistic initiative with the inauguration of a Terracotta Furnace (Bhatti) on campus.
The furnace was formally inaugurated by renowned filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, marking the beginning of an enriching experiential learning activity for students.
Hands-On Pottery Activity
As part of the event, students enthusiastically participated in a pottery-making session, crafting beautiful clay items with their own hands. The activity encouraged creativity, patience, and appreciation for traditional art forms.
The clay creations were then placed inside the newly inaugurated terracotta furnace for firing — a crucial process that transforms soft clay into durable pottery. This marked the first-ever terracotta and pottery-firing experience for students at Colonels Academy.
The initiative reflects the school’s commitment to holistic education, blending art, culture, and practical learning. The Terracotta Furnace Inauguration not only introduced students to traditional craftsmanship but also provided them with a memorable and meaningful creative experience during the Foundation Day celebrations.
