Following the unveiling of the annual magazine Epochy, the Foundation Day celebration at Colonels Academy continued with the much-awaited Awards & Student Recognition Ceremony.
Renowned filmmaker Imtiaz Ali had the honour of presenting sashes to the newly appointed Student Council members, recognising their leadership, responsibility, and commitment to the school.

The Foundation Day celebration on 10 February 2026 at Colonels Academy continued with grace and solemnity through the traditional Bouquet Presentation and Lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp.
Renowned filmmaker Imtiaz Ali along with the other distinguished Chief Guests was presented bouquets by the students as a formal gesture of welcome and deep respect. The presentation reflected the school’s culture of honouring excellence and expressing gratitude.
After receiving the bouquets, the dignitaries were invited onto the stage, where they participated in the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising knowledge, enlightenment, and the auspicious beginning of the Foundation Day programme. The sacred ritual marked the formal inauguration of the event in a traditional and dignified manner.
The Chief Guest was then formally welcomed through a heartfelt address by the Principal. The speech highlighted Mr. Imtiaz Ali’s inspiring journey in the world of cinema, his creative achievements, and his valuable contribution to the arts. The Principal also expressed sincere gratitude for his gracious presence on this landmark occasion.
A proud moment followed with the unveiling of the school’s annual magazine, Epochy. The magazine was officially released by Mr. Imtiaz Ali, marking the celebration of students’ literary talent, creativity, and accomplishments.

On Tuesday, 10 February 2026 at 2:30 PM, Colonels Academy had the proud privilege of welcoming acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali as the Chief Guest for the Foundation Day celebrations.
Mr. Imtiaz Ali was formally received by Chairman Col A K Yadav and Director Arun Kumar, reflecting the institution’s deep respect and tradition of honouring distinguished guests. He was accompanied by esteemed guests Mr. Gurbachan Singh and Mr. Nitin Gupta.
nauguration of ‘Madhu Ecke’ – The School Canteen
Following the welcome ceremony, the esteemed guests proceeded to the newly opened school canteen, ‘Madhu Ecke’, for its formal inauguration. The occasion added another milestone to the growth and development of the school campus.
After inaugurating the canteen, the guests enjoyed refreshments together. The atmosphere was relaxed and cordial as they engaged in light, informal conversations with the school authorities. The warm interaction reflected mutual respect, admiration, and shared enthusiasm for the institution’s progress.

Colonels Academy organized an enriching Educational and Recreational Trip to Siliguri (TRIP 2026) for the students of Class X on Sunday, 18 January 2026. The trip was thoughtfully planned to provide students with meaningful learning experiences along with recreation, cultural exposure, and relaxation.
Early Morning Departure
The journey began early in the morning, with students being picked up at 5:20 AM. The excitement and enthusiasm among the students set a positive tone for the day-long excursion.
Refreshing Visit to Dudhia
The first stop was Dudhia, a scenic hamlet near Siliguri, located along the banks of the Balason River. Surrounded by natural beauty and a peaceful environment, students enjoyed the cool weather, relaxed by the riverside, took photographs, and refreshed themselves before proceeding further.
Visit to North Bengal Science City
The group then visited North Bengal Science City at Matigara near Siliguri. This visit proved to be highly educational, as students explored interactive scientific exhibits and demonstrations. The experience helped them understand various scientific concepts through practical and engaging displays.
Lunch Break
After the Science City visit, students had lunch together at a nearby hotel. The lunch break allowed everyone to relax, recharge, and share their experiences from the morning activities.
Visit to ISKCON Temple, Siliguri
In the afternoon, the students visited the ISKCON Temple, Siliguri, also known as Sri Sri Radha Madhav Sundar Mandir. The calm and spiritual atmosphere of the temple, along with its museum and gardens, offered students a peaceful and culturally enriching experience.
Safe Return
After a full day of learning, sightseeing, and enjoyment, the group started the return journey. All students were safely dropped at their homes by nightfall.
The Class X Educational Trip to Siliguri – TRIP 2026, held on Sunday, 18 January 2026, was a successful and memorable outing that promoted experiential learning, discipline, bonding, and overall development of the students.
